J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation

Located on the campus of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation has a unique program that offers acute care, rehabilitation and psychiatry all under one roof for patients 13 years of age and older.

This attractive 40,000 sq. ft. facility houses a total of 39 rehab beds in private and semi-private rooms with fully accessible showers. An indoor heated therapy pool and transitional apartments where patients can practice independent living are also available.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs

Two units comprise the 39-bed rehabilitation portion of the Sticht Center:

• Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit - a 27-bed, CARF accredited unit that provides intense therapy for a variety of medically-stable patients.
• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Unit - a special 12-bed, CARF accredited unit that provides a therapeutic environment for persons with brain injuries.

Referrals
